New Opel/Vauxhall owner :)
« on: 17 August 2010, 21:04:46 »

Hi all,
I've been browsing the site for a few hours and find it very interesting and informative with a lot of equally nice and informative people around as well. :)

Last week I bought an Opel (Vauxhall to you Brits) Omega 2.5 V6 2000 model. I'm located in Sweden as well, so left-hand drive model as well. It's a beautifully maintained car from what I've seen, though it has a few kinks and things I'll probably be asking some of your expertise about.

Here's my 'shopping list' - if anyone have useful links or definite answers, please let me know. :)

1 - The Omega is imported from Italy, which means my computer speaks Italian. Any chance to change that to English or something else?

2 - I have the - apparently famous - CL issue. driver's door doesn't lock or unlock when I use the remote in the key, however, it does try to do so. When pressing the lock button it locks and unlocks all doors (except driver's door) instantly.

3 - like 1, not something that's really 'wrong' per se, but I have the stock radio that came with the car with a tape player. I am wondering - being a rather unhandy or at least car-fiddling inexperienced person - how to best replace the original stock and what to replace it with.

Thanks in advance for your feedback and ofc an awesome board. :)

"Hello" and Welcome :)

Post your questions in the relevant forums .. more of "them that know" read there than here ..

for points 1 & 3 I'd suggest Electrical and ICE

for point 2 - General Omega Help
