New to the Omega Forum
« on: 23 February 2011, 20:26:45 »

Eyup
Just bought a 2000 2.5 Omega - loving it!
I've been a member ( and still am ) of a few forums for vehicles - bikes and cars - and have found them to be THE BEST way to solve problems and add info to the DIY pool.

My Omega is a 2000 saloon in dark green - 2.5 CD with a cloth interior and is bog standard. Apart from ( I gather are usual issues ) it's driven like a train these last two weeks.

Issues are - whining aux air pump.  knocking fuel tank heat shield.  Noisy/ vibrating Cats ( sounds great but ... ) Knackered keyfob so have to unlock manually and then lock via back door so alarm doesn't go off - FFS!!
Apart from that it's pretty much mint.
Got to say after only a few 100 miles it is the most confortable motor we've had in ages - the 1980's Audi 100 Avant I got rid of pales badly in comparison ... the pocket rocket Audi 2.6 Coupe is now driven by my wife .....
Hopefully I can add something here and gain something too.
cheers Guys/Gals
Pat

Hi Pat, Welcome to the OOF..  ;)

Under-steer is when the front of the car hits the wall, and over-steer is when the rear of the car hits the wall.
Power is how fast you hit the wall and torque is how much of the wall you take with you.
