Hi from sunny Cornwall

Hi all just joined my name is Chris I have a 98 2.5 TD which I have had from almost new and its the best car I have ever owned including Mercs and Bmws..just developed its first fault I cant now change the air direction flow in the car its stuck on demist(screen)when I turn the knob nothing happens, any ideas anyone..cheers!
