Newbie from Nottingham
« on: 31 July 2011, 10:43:20 »

Hi guys and gals,

just found your forum whilst looking for help, the Omega belongs to my wife, but I get to do the dirty work on it and keep it clean, It's a 1997 2.0 GLS with 11665 miles on clock, and had it since about 14 months old.

She has served us well, having done a 3500 mile trip through France, Switzerland, northern Italy, back through France and half way round Ireland within 6 months of having her, and has continually been to Ireland at least twice a year ever since.

The car has always been serviced and repaired by our local dealer until a couple of years ago, when i started to be able to do things myself, hence my reason for being here now, so I look forward to reading and speaking to you all, all be it only on weekends as I am away all week, and hopefully being to help others with problems we have encountered.

Thanks Dan,

of what I have seen on here, you all seem a friendly and enthusiastic bunch, much like the other forum i'm on for my car.

I shall try and read more of the posts, hopefully helped Paul61 with his problem of a whistle, and now look forward to seeing what the rest of the forum has to say.

Thanks guys,

looking forward to spending more time on here, it's nice to see there's a lot of people looking after these wonderful motors, i'm lucky that we have two very nice older motors, i'm not that keen on the newer models nowadays.

Although, saying that, these motors have not been produced for a while now, be interesting to see how long these new replacement motors last against ours.
