Is there any truth that Free Range are better at sealing than their caged counterparts?

Yes there is, but unfortunately the once-common practice of stuffing live chickens down the radiator is no longer legal.

I take it a lot of people use the egg trick, that would eggsplain the funny smell that I used to  blame on the catalitic converter  ;D  I'll be chicken if this fix works so that the myth can be laid to rest  ;D ;D

Anyone any idea what the powdered stuff the AA guys dump in the coolant tank to seal things up?

Yes but their death has not been in vain, for it is a noble cause, blocking ones leaky rad, they died so that we can go on....
