AR25 Gearbox
« on: 15 October 2006, 11:33:25 »

Guys, I need some advice.

I have a 2001 2.2CDi omega with 4 speed auto box (AR25), I have spent a fortune on the car and its still not right.

Ive had gearbox flushed and refilled, had new MAF sensor and camshaft sensor, last year I had new Oil pressure sensor in gearbox.

Still going into limp home mode when hot starting, code reader calls up P0700 and P1700 but only SVS light on, not EML.

Is the TCU at fault or is it something internal with the box? when cold started car drives superb?

Please help, Im in notts area if any Meega experts about!

Cheers

John

Sound much the same??

Seems to be getting a common problem on 2.2's  :(

I hoping TheBoy is gonna have time to do a live data check with his Tech2, on mine to see whats going wrong when mine does it  :)

Thanks for links, sounds exactly the same, been looking through TIS2000 vauxhall programme, doesn't really give any indication of problem, I'm thinking like you, it must be the Gearbox fluid temp sensor or some sort of heat sensor / heat related problem, car fine when cold starting.

May take to Vauxhall and ask them to do a live analysis on Tech 2!

Not taking and trash of them though, been fobbed off by them b4.

I will keep the forum updated on any new info

Many thanks

TD, I had a word with Marks_DTM, and if we can get a live capture of whats happening, I can email to him to see if he can figure out.

Might be worth fluid change though anyway...

I doubt if they would know how to use a TECH2 to do that!
Probably only know how to read codes and do the odd programming

You may be lucky in finding a dealer that knows how to do it  :-/
