Misfire?
« on: 02 January 2007, 18:11:31 »

Did a 330 mile round trip at the weekend & drove to work this morning with no probs. Half way home this evening I put my foot down & got what felt like a misfire (like it was running on five). I let off the power & all was fine again. It doesn't happen on gentle acceleration or if I rev it in neutral & there's no EML, I'm sure I've read similar on here but can't find it right now, any ideas?

HT problem I suspect.

Check for oil in plug wells (you know what that means), failing that, leads or DIS...

I was thinking along those lines, I do have a slight leak on the drivers side rocker  :( but it hardly uses any oil.

Check the wells - drivers side is really easy to check. Resolve the oil problem before you kill a set of expensive leads....

Cheers, one thing I forgot to add; if I keep the revs up while this happens it clears again & roars away.
Anyone fancy bacon butties?  :D

Quick update;
I've noticed that the misfire seems to be worse when the car's warm.
This morning it wasn't there (except once) on my way to work & I nailed it whenever I could to test it.
