« on: 10 September 2007, 21:44:39 »

Got so much on at the moment!

It was Mrs DTM's brithday on Sunday, got the bros car here for some work, so far done the following for him:

Replace drivers side exhaust manifold gasket
Re-seal oil cooler
Re-seal stat to block joint
Clean breathers
Oil change
Coolant change
Replace coolant bridge seals.

To do

Crank oil seal
Handbrake

Also

Got to take junior to see Thomas the Tank engine at the weekend

Project LPG is not running well on LPG!

And to top it all, 7 floors of the old building at work have been sealed off due to asbestos!

Busy, busy busy!

My little one (3 on Wednesday) would love to see Thomas. Is that a theatre show or outdoor attraction?

Tend to be fairly frequent events at railway museums, such as Didcot or Quainton.  You can even go on a train pulled by Thomas etc...   ...great day out for the little ones...

Sounds almost as much as you had to do on mine!

He should love Thomas, look little Jimbob on it earlier this year, still talks about it, and they are the same age.
We saw 'him' at LLangollen, comes quite often, not cheap though, but it was unlimited travel, so pay and ride all day if you want.

I think there are stil three of them (Thomases)

How about this.

Britt Alcroft  (who used to own TTTE rights) wrote to all preserved railways who hold Thomas weekends asking for money, and got to the stage of any locos like the ones in the book were on her grab list.

And then they get this, BA also had disputes with a few other railways.

Quote
Britt Allcroft tried to demand the Bluebell Railway remove the name Stepney from its famous Terrier as the name appeared in the Railway Series books and was thus copyright. The railway politely replied that it carried the name Stepney for 88 years before Stepney the Bluebell Engine was written and this was, in their opinion, sufficient evidence of prior use.
