Drivers door leccy window broken
« on: 16 February 2007, 20:12:36 »

Went to pick my dad up from Birmingham Airport today, went into the car park.... window down collect ticket in and park.

Go to leave, window won't move  >:(

All other windows work, drivers refused to. Put the rear window down and put my arm around and put the ticket in (gadget hands!  :D)

Driving along the M42, I was constantly pressing the window up and down, it randomly started working again. For 3/4 miles it went up and down fine...

10 mins later tried it again, broken  >:(

I can hear the relay click when i lift it up, it makes no sound when i try to open it....

When it opened before heard like a strong clunk every time it went down, has it just got stuck?  :-/

Stop off at Tesco's

1 roll of clingfilm = 1 New window

leccy bit doesnt work though, either go go gadget had round the back window, or open the door,

'Clunk' is not a good sound from the winding mechanism Tunnie. However, it's seldom terminal :y

Get the door card off and have a gander.

I had a clunk on my o/s window for a while and it used to stick a bit. Turned out to be the checkstrap jamming against the glass. I was amazed it didn't break the window! The door had suffered the usual crack of death for a few weeks before.

I had a similar problem, it was the switch assembly in the door, got a replacement from the scrapyard for £20   :)
