Tech2 cannot do the IR ones, so you need to find someone with a Tech1 or a generic one. Try some autolocksmiths...

The same make as your existing one, which for 3 button ones, I believe is Megamos or Delphi. The 2 kinds are not interchangable...

Hi TheBoy

Do you know of any that can programme my fobs in the Leicester area? ive rang 3 companies this morning with no avail -they tell me that my fobs cannot be programmed cos they are second hand, im sure they're talking crap!
Also they say i need my car pass which vx say i dont need it, it was never with the car when it was registered (they checked chassis no.), if this helps ive got a IR dome next to the electric sunroof switch and the fob numbers-

The fob is a kiekert IR 2, GM no 90 459 461, 90 460 834

Thanks

Don't you program this type by sitting in the car with the ignition on, and locking and unlocking the car via the remote?

It will say in the hand book, or was in my Vectra which IIRC is the same type.

Hi Phil

Ive tried that matey, it is in my hand book but thats for when you replace the batteries,
i.e not changed the batteries in the required time, i think it says you have 3 minutes then you re- programme the fob the way you said.

Thanks for your help though

Interesting. You know that one of mine we farted about trying to get to work at the weekend?

Both looked like Delphi remotes?

The original key is in a Delphi case.... With a megamos pcb in it!

No, sorry, I don't.

Tech1 required. Not sure if it needs a carpass or not on those ones....

Looks highly likely. The metal casings of the 3 buttons look like they've been butchered so someone's been in there.

I'll treat it to the buttons from the Delphi one when I've got a spare working of the correct type. They look much better.

Always thought you sat in the car with ignition on and pressed buttons?
