Oil Cooler !! IT STARTED !!
« on: 23 May 2007, 10:10:47 »

Hi

Latest installment!!!

Started car fine and is running better and no sign of leaks...

Have put in 5 litres of oil initally and came up with oil lack so put in another litre but dipstick is reading just over the min how many litres should it take????

Engine management light is staying on. Why?

Think it is idling to slow runs for about 4-5 mins then dies, but starts again fine how do you adjust idle speed?

Many Thanks

Andy

Its likely to be more with an oil cooler change as there will be no oil in the oil cooler pipes or oil cooler as well as the filter and sump.....

The project LPG car took 6 litres.....

Congrats Andy....How does it sound ?

Reason i ask is i have just done one of these ( As Mark DTM is only to aware  ;D )

Due to some cooling issues i really havent been able to idle it for more than 2 minutes or so....to me the engine sounds very tappety....how does your sound?

Im hoping its just due to never getting the car to operating temperature... yet... :-/ if not then somethings still wrong  >:(

Ok flashed the Diagnistic thingy and found the following fault codes.

19 = RPM Crankshaft sensor

59 = Inlet manifold valve

132 = Exhaust gas recirculation valve

Any thoughts anyone???
