Looking to replace my Makro special £10 jack, which doesnt even really lift the car enough to change a wheel.

CPC emailes me this one, which got me thinking...

Machine mart also do it, but a bit dearer

Now thats a hell of a lot of jacks, have I picked the right one? or what would you recommend, dont want to spend a fortune.
Im not planning on doing a lot with it, just for basic maintanance.

Also gonna get some axle stands when I am at it, I remember talk of some fit well, some dont, was thinking of these, comments?

This is the sort I have.....the large lifting cup is nice to have

I have some 2 or 3 ton axle stands, I have thought about getting some of the larger ones but, the base size is much bigger and can get in the way for some jobs so I havn't yet.

Just ordered a machine mart catalogue, so now they have my Name, Address & Email, so here's hoping they tell me about the next one.

Cheers, God knows how they do it!  Really need to get her back on contract  ;D

With a bit of luck I'll get an invite now, although maybe I need to have bought something 1st  :-?

If someone can remember to mention when the invites come out, least I will find out :)

I made the mistake of buying the larger 6 tonne stands. Obviously was the car is actually up on them they're great. The problem is getting it up there in the first place (ooer! ::))

The jacks that costco are flogging at the moment seem good - seem a bit more controllable than my Clarke one....
