Relays
« on: 12 August 2007, 17:41:19 »

Hello - does anyone know where i can find the relay for the heater/aircon blower in my omega? Ive had a look under the bonnet & there just numbered - do the numbers correspond to the numbers of the fuses? Its not in the fusebox either - ive had a look at those.
Cheers

P.s its the pre facelfit 3.0v6 Elite if that helps

Sorry about last post. Look in Technical Info. Should be number 7 relay.

Ah, since the heavy rain no doubt?

Blocked scuttle drain, causing water to come up through pollen filter into passenger footwell, dripping on fan speed controller in process....   ....and they ain't cheap.

Edit: I presume you mean cabin fans, not cooling fans?

I bought the car like it - so im not sure if it was after the rain / not.
I can select all speeds fine however - its really bugging me now lol, the garage is kind enough to give me a complete new unit & parts - but i dont want to take the dash out if its not that (as they dont know either) ::)
And i mean the fans that blow hot/cold air into the car - not the rad fans.

If i cant sort it soon - i may modify a switch from a scrapper and wire it in as an on/off switch as stripping the dash is a real bore lol
Cheers

The speed controller is up behind glovebox, a seperate unit to main climate panel (which is a 30min job anyway) bolted to fan housing

Its an expensive part, so may be worth measuring the volatages, unless you happen to have a spare?
