Thought I would let you lot know what’s occurring with the vecy/mega saga! ;D

Firstly the MOT history, which doesn’t add up. Check this out!

Have receipts for an engine rebuild in 2001, recorded mileage 91726!
MOT cert for 01-02 reads the recorded mileage is 97847
MOT cert for 02-03 mileage of 000000! That's exactly what is written down on the cert!
MOT cert for 04-05 reads the recorded mileage is 143000
VOSA website MOT history check, recorded mileage in 2005 is 59448!
VOSA website MOT history check, recorded mileage in 2006 is 169375!
2002-2003 MOT cert has a recorded mileage of 000000! That's exactly what is written down!

And yet in 2001 the mileage was recorder at 91726 by Hartwell Vauxhall in Sheffield.

The first pic is the car advertised, and the second pic is the car we received.
On closer inspection the difference are quite startling.
Got a VOSA inspector coming to take a look at the car in the morning, which seems quite promising. Also the peeps at trading standards are dead keen to see the 2 pics.
And this afternoon am calling the police bearing in mind what I have found out.

So all sounding quite positive me thinks

It would take ages to write ALL the differences but I would say for sure, they are completely different.

I recon you have a good civil case - then you can nail the c**t for every last expense including loss of earnings ;)

The only difference I knew about were the alloys, I knew it wasnt coming with them on! Part from that, its looking like its a pic of an SRi, and a pic of a GLS ::)

See that back wheel kicking out? What could cause that?

Very Late R's (but mainly S plates onwards) had silver centre trim.

Sri's also had different seat fabric to GLS (GLS had dots velour, SRis of that year had a fabric with red blue and green weave in them)

What does the V5 say it is?

With regard to the wheel kicking out, the Vectra has Multi link rear suspension and the bushes wear to MOT failure point every 40K.

Is there any tyre wear on it?

i think the 59,000 mileage may have just been mistakenly written and should have been 159,000, then disregarding the 000000 they would all tie in more accurately

but looking at the photos and even taking into account varied lighting, i'd say they're two completely different cars, the paint looks to be completely the wrong green, even if the lighting had been different

can anyone see any clearer than me, the colour of the sun visors in both pics??

have you tried to contact the guy since??

We aint driving it, aint moved it since it arrived. Also VOSA have told us not to touch untill after there inspection, and thats only if it passes

Finaly got a mail of the guy, saying as he is ignoring my calls. He basicaly says tough shit, and basicaly doesnt give a toss

Oh and get this! He recons if I carry on he is gonna have me for liable!  Heres a sentance from his mail!
