I got a right bo!!ocking at college once upon a time for breach of IT policy.

.....for having MP3's on my user account  

Made me delete every single one of them. All ELEVEN.  

It's a music college so I dread to think of the work they're cut out with now!  

We've just sacked a load for having MP3s on work PCs....

I would never leave stuff like that on the network drive (or even the local drive)... my solution is to burn a load of MP3s onto a DVD-R and just leave it in the drive when I want to listen to music. I'm sure plenty of people do have MP3 and the like on their home drive though, I don't think they really care enough to enforce it round here unless you're downloading them :O

Depends on the policies in place - even playing from a removalable disk will be picked up and acted upon at our place

really   and heres me streaming live windows music as we speak   its allowed though for some reason

there are special IPs here outside the websense and I use one of them.Thanks to friends..
