I got a right bo!!ocking at college once upon a time for breach of IT policy.

.....for having MP3's on my user account  :o

Made me delete every single one of them. All ELEVEN.  ::)

It's a music college so I dread to think of the work they're cut out with now!  ;D
We've just sacked a load for having MP3s on work PCs....

I would never leave stuff like that on the network drive (or even the local drive)... my solution is to burn a load of MP3s onto a DVD-R and just leave it in the drive when I want to listen to music. I'm sure plenty of people do have MP3 and the like on their home drive though, I don't think they really care enough to enforce it round here unless you're downloading them :O
Depends on the policies in place - even playing from a removalable disk will be picked up and acted upon at our place :(
