I seem to have a problem with the CDX, the climate control works fine in the front of the vehicle but the rear seems not right.

When i have it set on say, 18 degrees, the front is nice and cool but the rear center vents are blowing very hot, if I turn up the heat the front blows cool but no change with the rear.

I remember reading something about this before on the forum.

Can anyone advise.

Thanks

Just dropped her off at Vx, i will keep you posted on the outcome. I have even spoke to an auto air con engineer and he even scratched his head.
Lets see what Vx come back with.
Luckly its not costing me a penny.

Got to be the air distribution flaps have disconnected themselves from their servos...

If you were nearer, I'd get the Tech2 on it to see what it thinks its doing...

Well, had the car back, it worked for a couple of miles, it is now back to not working, hot air constantly out of the rear, cold out the front, if i turn up the heat, rear stays hot and my side stays cold, passenger side gets warm.

They did a tech 2 and found nothing, I will be going back tomorrow and mentioning the flap issue, but would this not have shown up on tech 2.

Well Pi*sed off at the moment, the car is not how i want it, The dealer I got it from is understanding and has been very helpful, all this will of course be covered by warranty.
My problem is if Vx say there is nothing they can do, if so I will tell them to call in a auto air con specialist.

Naffed, Naffed off totally.

wonder if it could be failed temp sensor somewhere - ask them to do 'live data check' with tech2 and see if temp sensor readings are valid?

The invoice says they did a data check and all found ok, the post abot water in cabin has had some interesting replys, ie water through pollen filter due to blocked drain, I went out and found mine full of water.

Could it be!!!!!!!

Not convinced this is your problem - water in through that route tends to cause fan to come on hard, or not at all, not wrong temps.

Excellent :y

Try to keep it clear - every time I open bonnet (every couple of weeks to check fluids), I throw a jug of water down there - it helps clear it before it blocks, but also gives warning its blocking again :)

wondering if the actuator ball joints have popped off the air distribution flaps....

Absolutley spot on, that is exactly what had happened.

The temp is set to 21 degrees, if I set it more than that the actuator arm pops off the joint due to the servo dropping too much, miggy is booked into Vx next tuesday for a tech 2 as I am being told it needs to be sycronised as not to allow the servo to go to its limit. is that correct,
