Climate buttons
« on: 09 November 2007, 13:15:35 »

Does anyone know of any company that has the capability of re-coating the facelift climate control buttons or even the company that Vx would have used to produce the panel in the first place?

Probably better off getting some new ones, mate, far less hassle and probably cheaper. Try one of the breakers cars?

I've thought about putting some clear varnish on mine, to help protect them.

How about some interior trim protectant? (I'm thinking of my facelift buttons being black plastic, don't know what they are on pre- and mini-facelifts...) I use Meguiar's trim detailer on the dash, and all the plastic etc, I don't think it'd take too long to cotton-swab some onto the buttons.

This is what I've done to the ECO button with some paint and Letraset

Looks a bit crap but better than a pure white button with no markings as it was before.

Don't even use eco! Stays in auto 24/7.......could do with climate control software update though  ::)

I wonder if this is why all these buttons are wearing out!?!  ;D
