Dashboard lights and warning buzzer
« on: 26 November 2007, 18:44:14 »

Hi all,

Just got an Omega (2001, 2.2 CD) which is immaculate bar one minor problem.
The dashboard lights from the centre of the speedo across to the right of the dash, along with the headlight warning buzzer do not work. I wondered if these problems are connected? Have checked fuses, but cant see one that works only these bulbs/buzzer!

Any help gratefully received!

Thanks,

Jim

strange one, have you tried pressing the dash in firmly but lightly in case of a loose connection?
although would suspect more than just light issue if that was the problem

The headlight buzzer problem now appears to be resolved - got out of the car today and it merrily chirpped away at me.  Have no idea what the fault was (perhaps loose connection?) but it now works - strange.

Still no illumination on from the centre of the speedo across to the right of the dash - i bet that wont fix itself!  Any ideas on how difficult it is to pop dash out and check bulbs/connections?

All the best,

Jim

quite easy..

there is a guide in maint guides, but basically

pop out centre air vents
undo few screws
lower steering wheel and undo scre just above it, dash swings out.
