Trade club card
« on: 05 October 2007, 19:55:39 »

Hi all, is there any one out there with a trade club card that lives near Sittingbourne in Kent as I am fed up with paying retail prices at my local Vx dealer?

:) I took OOF's advice and joined Autobahn Stormers.

You just downlode the paperwork, fill it in and send it off with your £20.00.

Four days later, your cards arrives ready to use. :y

Thank you OOF.

Would you get the same discount from all vauxhall's or are some more generous than others?

i think mine do (hanley, stoke on trent) as when i called last week he asked me if i was trade.

When i went to the newcastle under lyme vauxhall they were a heck of a lot more friendly. Didnt mention prices so dont know if their friendliness would have extended to better prices  :P

I know the dealers have to meet targets for TC.

When I bought my exhaust a couple of months ago, they asked if they could book it under someone else's TC, as they were trying to meet a target.

So I said yes, if they made it worth my while, they knocked another £15 off the price.

Theres 3 different prices......confusing a bit i know.....but heres how it works

Full Retail Price......you pay over the odds
Trade Price......some discount for items not in TC book and for all items if you havent a TC card and you are cheeky and ask for trade price.
TC Price......better than trade price for all items in TC book and you have a TC card

Its only 'popular' service items that are in the TC book......but items do get added now and then.

An example.....

Centre section exhaust for 2.2 saloon is in TC book and you save about £50 on FRP with TC
The same item for an estate isnt in TC book......so if my dealer takes pity on me i will get about £20 off the FRP......thats the trade price.

you only get the book (pricelist) if you have "proper" trade club membership - if you get access via a club you don't - but you should get a login to use on the website that you can use to look up the prices on there instead  :y

Very few items are on Trade Club.  Most dealers will give you trade price for non TC items.  TC through a club means you won't get a printed pricelist, though most give you a website login.

http://www.tradeclub.co.uk will show if your local dealer does tradeclub
