Can also concur michelins wear the best so personally think they're worth a little extra.

V rating I think is standard fit for a 2.2 but I notice A&J also have a c*r*v*n   ::) so maybe worth a higher rated tyre?

You don't have to whisper the word  ;D

What code is a higher rating?  :-/

You do if you value you post count ;) :-X

I fitted cheap accelera 225zr16 to rear with dunlops on the front. car wandered alarmingly at times like badly located live axle.
Dunlops wore out inner edge after 20k, also replaced with accelera £95per pair + vat fitted. Car now tracks perfect.

....... you need W rating..........

You need W rated tyres but alexandjen 'only' has a 2.2 & doesn't need such a high rated tyre.
Curiously the lads in the USA only have V rated tyres cos apparently they don't drive as fast as we do in Europe (so says Michelin).

Big_Roger has a 3.2 car which require W rating. V's aren't fast enough .... if we're going by the book.

Check this out:

http://www.event-tyres.co.uk/quotation/filteredresults.php

They supply,fit,balance and replace valve.
Come to a place of your choosing whether it be at home or work and all for 486.70 for a set of four Michelin - 225/55 R16 [95W] - Pilot Primacy HP.
This sounds good to me  :y

Edit:  £ 428.68 for a set of Pirelli P7's

That's OK. You can go faster if you want, but I DON'T think it's a good idea to go slower - like various Senators you see on the Bay of e.

Try

 www.mytyres.co.uk

I just bought some Kuhmo spt ku13 tyres for my mv6 and am well pleased with them the quality is as good as most premium tyres and for your size they are £57.30 each to your door.

Are these the ones you got?

Kumho - 225/55 R16 [99W] - KU31 £ 86.90
2 x Tyres = £ 173.80
3 x Tyres = £ 260.70
4 x Tyres = £ 330.22
This Kumho tyre has a speed rating of "W". This gives this tyre a maximum speed of 168 MPH

Yes thats them and they are only £57.30 each from my tyres. You will have to get them fitted on top but that won't be anymore than £10 each.

I also have some race compound  Kuhmo's on my 400bhp cosworth so I can confirm the quality and grip are superb.

Mix tyres at your own risk - three different brands on this car

Many years ago when I was a poor apprentice .... I had two completely different types of tyre - same size - on the front of my Cortina MK III. It pulled heavily to the kerb, tracking etc made no difference. Two matching tyres on the front, and it was sorted.

Mine does this most of the time and wanders about now and again especially when hitting bumps and ruts.

I think once you get 2 new tyres on the front your problems will be fixed.
