WHat is cooling system pressure?

at a guess I would say about 30-40 psi, but I am sure someone with more scientific knowledge will give you a better answer soon  :y

It's not too high. Perhaps 10 or 12 PSI. I forget what the expansion tank cap is rated at but it may be stamped on it. That's the ultimate limit to the pressurisation.

Chose the right araldite, it has a habit of softening when warm and roughen it all up well first so it gets a good key.

Couldn't find slow set and rapid didn't work - have some 2nd hand tees on their way!

Hi,
Some while back I made up a tee piece with Schreader Tyre valve in it so I could fit in the system to pressurise it cold to check for leaks.

I found the header tank pressure cap started to release at just over 13 PSI.
