Central Locking problem
« on: 30 March 2008, 16:53:43 »

Hi

When using the remote key to lock the car (door is shut), the door will lock and then re-open as if the car thinks the door is not shut. Has anyone had this problem.

I have replaced the solenoid as this stopped working and this now seems ok.

One of your lock motors is not working properly, the system drives all the motors to lock then checks for 'locked' indication from micro switches inside of the motors. If one motor isnt moving or travelling far enough (or is a bit slow) then the system unlocks again.

Most likely cause is a faulty motor (actually one of the switches inside it) but check all five and try lube on any sticky ones.
