misfire code 19

evening all, have a miss fire at any thing above 4000-4500 Rpm. In any mode Auto or sport. fault Code came back as 144 and 19 no Rpm Signal and no immobiliser signal. what sensor will cause code. 19 no Rpm signal?

Assuming it's a V6 then your crank sensor needs replacing..... Urgently!

code 19 is crank sensor.

change this ASAP, it will let you down at worst time!

dead crank sensor  = dead car!

forget the price, £45 ish i think?  :-/

Easy as pie to change, 1 torx bolt, sensor is next to the oil filter (if yours is a V6)

Around £40 or £70, depending on type, About 30mins if you follow guide on here ;)

Easy to change, follow this guide and make sure the cable is routed as suggested.

No, you won't be able to extract the cable from the loom (fitted at factory), It's usually the routing of the cable (near the manifolds) that causes the failure.

A new sensor and the routing suggested in the guide is the best solution.

not unless your very skint,they seem to packup after they get to a certain age and can stop working very suddenly ,leaving you stranded. i remember reading that it hapened to the boy in the middle of france :o
