The HBV is completely the opposite side to the exhaust manifold though, so I'm unsure how it would travel from there onto the exhaust stud.
I think it's something else.

Blimey, it was page 2 before someone realised it was the other side of the engine...
I can't see any pipework on the manifold side of the engine that could leak unless theres something tucked up under the scuttle.
I'll take a photo and attach it shortly...

Maybe a weeping core plug?

I plead stupidity... I didn't look at the engine size!! Mine's a v6 so that was what I was comparing it to!!  :-[ :-[ :-[

Other than radweld is holding my weeping core plug together quite nicely  :-[
