« on: 19 June 2008, 13:42:54 »

approx 6 weeks ago i did an oil change, done a few miles lately yesterday did 240, oil light came on. took about a litre.

approx 4 weeks ago, did autobox, change, gaskets filter and renew fuid. this morning light came on, poss because i reved as i put in gear accidently and it didnt connect properly

is everything normal as to having to top up slightly after a long run like that??

she ran really well yesterday, nice and smooth, although id like to update gearbox and aircon, but a bit skint at moment

Same happened when I did a change, few weeks later, odd gearbox error, I got another litre or so in.

Maybe a longer test drive, or better procedure to redistribute the ATF is needed  :-/

These are, I think, completely separate things.

Engine oil.  On mine Check oil comes up when the level is half way between marks = .5 litre to top up.   Sounds like you either didn't fill up the level to the top mark when you did the oil change, or there is a leak (possibly camcovers).

Autofluid. I'm not sure if that error is thrown up by low fluid level, but no harm in checking the level anyway as a first step.

Sounds about right  :)
