Consider youselves lucky
« on: 23 October 2007, 08:10:23 »

I told you a while back that it cost me £850 to have the cam belts done on the wifes ZT :(

Well, the clutch has gone now. It's a sealed unit, the master and slave cylinders come as one part joined with a pipe. The slave lives INSIDE the transmission. So, basically, if a cylinder leaks, it's new clutch.

Wait for it...........£800 to £900 >:(

Omegas? Cheap  ;D ;D

Wife just got home from work in the car we had to hire (focus). Got a tiny dimple in the tail gate that wasn't there this morning. No doubt that'll be the £100 deposit gone as well.

I'm really not bothered.

The vectra b has also got the slave cylinder in the bell housing and these fail as well causing a replacment of the clutch kit. the slave  is £80 + vat plus the clutch  and the cost of the box out as well. :o

Someone told me mondeos have gone that way as well. I'm sure there's a good reason. She's done a fair few miles so they obviously last ok.

Hmmmm.......the alfa.

Needs a rad. Bought it (£165 Valeo) but cant afford to have it fitted now. The one that's in it will do for now.

The gearbox has a slight leak.

The xenons shine about two foot in front of the car. If I put my main beam on, it shines like normal dipped beam. That will be self levellers as well then.

Good job I'm mad, or I might shed a tear ;D ;D

Carefully take the inner panel out & you should be able to push the dent out from inside, save a wunner! If it's double skinned you probably wo'nt do it without the right tool. Having mates in the trade i've seen what they do with bendy bits of metal in minutes, but it's worth a look. :y
