TC card expired
« on: 24 October 2007, 18:36:53 »

Just had a letter from Vaux today telling me that although my trade club card has expired it can still be used as they have all been extended till the end of Jan next year.
Just hope they've told the dealers the same thing.

Got the same letter today :) although I still also don't have an actual card yet, just the details  >:(

I'm wondering if it all got lost during the postal strike as I only just applied about 5 weeks ago...

My dealer stopped asking me for the card ages ago, they know me by now. Not sure what this means about the Omega's reliability though, if owning one means that you get to know your parts manager on first name basis...?  :o  ;D

I dont normally need to show mine now
They love me at the parts desk, cos they always get a nice printed 'shopping list' with part numbers, so saves them a job.
I just have Tradecard  : ABS and the number, and that seems to do them.
When I had only used it once or twice they used to ask though.

Saves a bloody fortune  :y

Mrs TheBoy walks in to our dealer, and immediately the chap walks out and gets the bits before they've even spoken (I normally call them and order stuff a couple of days before), then helps her to car with it :y

Good on the independent Vx dealers, rather than the scumbag Evans Halsahw in MK, who seem to stock very little in the way of oil filters....  ....I wonder what would happen if I took my car for a service there and they didn't have the filter in stock (I know, they didn't bother last time, and that was a filter they do normally carry).
