Ok, thanks for the link but if possible I'd like to use what I have.  :)

on the ballast box, does it matter which pin is the positive because there doesn't seem be any particular way the plug, which I don't have, fits.

that said, would I be better off getting a kit as per above and would that new hid bulb fit in place of the existing one or try and get the headlight loom from a mini-facelift?

Sorry about all the questions but I'd rather it was done well first time.

What's different about your kit??? Are you sure it's a H1 fitting???

In theory the power feed from projector lights comes from;

Headlight ---> Into Ballast (on removable plug) --->From Ballast (on fixed plug) --->To bulb.

Hope this helps? It doesn't matter initially which way round the connector is, it just won't work BUT the omega should not require any wiring modifications.

no no, not a kit, Genuine Vauxhall Omega complete headlight units ;)

from a 98 omega, thing is mine is a 95 GLS so pretty sure not wiring  :-[ >:(
they are complete with everything apart from extra wiring, ballast, motors the lot....

It's been mentioned before but you want to get part of the headlight loom/plug from the '98 car to splice into your '95 loom/lights.

MarksDTM is the man for colours/wiring solutions!  :-X
