Must be something in the wind because mine has just packed up as well

For the last few weeks it was creaking and sticking and making a horrible noise when I opened the door

Then it jammed...with my door half shut .... at the motorway services!

I gave the door a hefty shake backwards and forwards and the plastic bit inside the door where the metal bit goes into (technical term) must have broken because now the door shuts silently and smoothly!

I have the same problem as you now, the door wont stay open....but its ok...I just park on the flat!

At that stage 30 minutes and 50 p would have fixed it properly  :(

(not that you wish to know that now .. but any one else reading this with a creaking door .. MEND IT...  NOW ... it really is one bolt and one small piece of plastic .. :( )

If you look at the front edge of the door you'll probably see two holes torn out of the metal where the two securing bolts should be. :(

Repair would be to retrieve the broken bits from inside the door, then weld or bolt reinforcing plates to replace the torn metal, refit the dropped bits ... REPLACE THE NYLON BUSH .. and hope .. :(
