Hi all. can any one recomend a good place to get the air con re gassed in the Southport Merseyside area Halfords & Quick Fit are the nearest places but reading through the forums they dont seem to have a good reputation and i whant the job done right.

I would certainly avoid both of them and take it to someone who knows what they are doing.

Saying that, i had one of our cars done just outside London yesterday (cos I was there!!!)

Can you give me the address and directions please. Thinking of going to Chester Zoo shortly could possibly fit it in at the same time if  its not to far away. Any idea on how much for a re gas. Many thanks Ian.

I've just been quoted £60 all in for a mobile chap to come to my home for a a/c service, degas the system, pressure test for leaks if no leaks present the system gets vacced out then filled with fresh refrigerant and topped up with pag oil and uv die.
He lives in the East of Kent and will have to travel about 35 miles to reach me.

Just had my Elite regas done at Kwik Fit . Works well and done in under an hour .

I too have used coolcaraircon and cannot fault them. See my post in this forum entitled air con help offered.
Very professional job! Part of a national franchise so should have someone that covers your area. Will come to your work or home and do the job.

have sent them an email mike.

Kwikfit are doing recon for 45, and no charge if they find a leak... somehow... still don't trust them though.
