Rear Blind Into 2002 CD ?

Can the electric rear blind be retro fitted into my 2002 CD ?  ... I may be able to get one if it can be  :y

Wiring`s all in place then. Does the blind come with the shelf or were you thinking of cutting your existing shelf to fit  :question

This is what im trying to find out  ;) .... ie how much work is involved .... i can get the blind and motor but it doesnt come with the shelf ..... is there a lot of butchery involved if it has no shelf with it  :y

I doubt if you'd be able to make a blind & motor fit an ordinary rear shelf. You need to fit the whole thing.

easiest way of doing it is to try and get a complete shelf with blind, they go for up to £50.....

dependant on the age of the blind you may find you have to cut all the wires and use bullet connectors as the multiplugs are not compatible, don't worry its just a case of connecting the right coloured wires together  :y

took me about an hour to do, however i had to paint my shelf as it was a different colour to the car, that added another hour or two onto the job  ;D

here's a how to on blind removal, refitting is the reverse......in the words of the good book Haynes

oh and don't forget the switch, about £15 from a dealer, plugs straight in

I did have a look at that guide just out of interest a while ago .... thats where i got the idea about the blind from .... will have to see if i can source the correct shelf then  :y
