« on: 15 September 2008, 13:56:45 »

i must admit the hooter is a let down, there you are driving your lovely big miggy, someone pulls in front of you, you hit the horn & you get a pathetic "peep", sounds like they bought a job lot off reliant, im trying to find enough space to fit my klaxon but its gonna be tight ;) [once ive done my gearbox of coarse]

Also are the tech 2's worth buying? Do they actually help in diagnosing problems?

cheapo tech2 as seen on eBay are £30/£35 woth while if you have a DBW engine (2.2/2.6/3.2) they can read codes and reset airbags thats it.

Real tech2 costs several thousand pounds and has live data feeds, and programming abilitys (eg enable cruise on the engine ECU)

If you have a 2.0/2.5/3.0, prob worth sticking with a paper clip!

All the older cars I've had had twin horns...

Just bought a GS500 Tech2 thing so we will see what we can do with it when it arrives...supposed to connect up to laptop etc...

The Stebel Nautilus Compact may well be worth a look (or should that be "worth a listen").

Put the clip in your pocket, and remove the airbag bulb.
