Lost my climate - wiring diagrams needed please
« on: 11 October 2008, 17:55:09 »

Still battling my code 87.

Seems I have lost power to a whole bunch of relays controlling air con and radiator cooling fans.

They should all have power from Fuse 15.

But most things on Fuse 15 are fine, apart from the stuff under the bonnet.

I desperately need:

1) The location of connector X5
2) A facelift wiring diagram - I think my Haynes wiring diagrams may be misleading me.

So far I've had virtually the entire dash out - what a nightmare....

Thanks TheBoy.

Have you any for the radiator cooling fans and air con compressor.

K60 is the centre of my investigation.

Anything you've got would be really helpful - I'm completely stuck at the moment.

There's a bunch of relays that control the fans on the front of the radiator and aircon compressor. According to haynes they should all get 12V when the ignition is on via fuse 15. Fuse 15 is fine and so is all the cabin stuff that runs off fuse 15.

Trouble is no power to the engine bay relays - which the ECU picks up on and flags error 87.

I think there might be another relay or something on the facelift. So any facelift wiring diagrams would be great. The one you gave me gives me all the stuff directly off the ECC but not the compressor and additional cooling fan relays, fuse etc.

All those relays feed by fuse 29, 12v with ign on.

It's a black feed wire at when no power reads 68 Ohms to ground. Traced it through engine bay.

Glovebox out, centre panel out can't figure out where it's coming from.

F**k me.

TheBoy you're a star.

Spent the whole day pulling my car to pieces and you've nailed it in 2 mins. Fuse 29 was the problem.....

Will have to put it all back together tomorrow....
