First off, try resetting your climate system.  Press and hold a combination of buttons - can't remember which, but it's in the car handbook....  or someone with better memory will say ;)

If that doesn't work , report back :y

Looking at the number of threads on here, this seems to be affecting just about all Omegas, mine included!!  Mine has had everything checked, cleaned, flushed etc etc apart from the heater bypass valve itself (which doesn't leak, but maybe doesn't work properly either).

Someone on here has fixed the problem by removing the HBV from the circuit altogether (like most cars out there).  I might throw a new HBV at mine and see what happens.

Would be nice if somebody got to the bottom of this!  I mean my cabin does eventually warm up to something acceptable thanks to the lukewarm blow of air, but every other car I've had is capable of properly warming you up with a good hot blast when the engine is warm.  Grrrrrrrr.

ok  take the vac pipe off from the HBV and see if you get heat.  no vac means no heater divert!    If this restores heat to you then you have a vac control problem - trace it.  If it does not AND you can feel that the heater matrix hoses are both hot then the matrix should be: suspect air control box.  If your matrix does not get hot with no vac applied then its the HBV

The heater bypass valve looks a wee bit like an upside down starship enterprise with a narrow bore hard plasic pipe coming from the roof/base, depending on how you view it.  Located at the rear lew#ft side of the engine as you stand against the bumper looking at the engine, beneath the large plastic/rubber bit thast goes across the engine bay under the windscreen...

might be worth removing hoses and flushing the matrix.  I would expect both to be warm to some degree unless the matrix was blocked
