personally i would not be worried about changing tail lamp bulbs, i have had my car over 3 years, not one bulb has gone anyware on the rear.

Just to be safe just fit brand new ones while its been done  :y
Yeah, but don't forget the law of sods, as soon as you fit the tank, many bulbs will blow one at a time ::)

Teilo was talking about some new multi-valves he was trying to get which were good for 270+ bhp! As for switching at high RPM... I've done this anyway to overcome the hesitation between first and second with a planted right foot! ::) ::)

TBH it's so rare I take it up to 5300RPM plus it doesn't bother me but I must get some live data and send to Teilo... He wants to try and work a solution for the issue.

Interesting. I have the same issue. It's odd, because sometimes it will change up faultlessly at the red line. Other times it bogs down horribly. The live data from the LPG ECU isn't collected fast enough to get a good picture of what's going on IME. Lambda sensor output stays solidly on rich throughout and vapour pressure doesn't move. Can't see anything obvious from it. We can have a go at collecting some more info on Sunday if you like?

It's almost like it doesn't take kindly to the torque reduction during the gear change (implemented using a shedload of ignition retard, presumably).

thanks guys,a 255 wide 64 litre tank will fit according to marks link. I was aware a 64 would fit but Jeromy has offered a 67 litre which is narrower than the 64 litre at 235! I will double check this is the correct info but from the link it should fit.
Dont worry about the rear light issue guys, its a case of tank in spare wheel well, or no lpg for me.
Any issues, i will have to deal with when they occur.

Oh and it is a" 4 hole teroidal tank" or what ever its called, for more has flow at higher revs. My first thought on this was whats the point in thrashing it on lpg but in reality when driveing on the M4 i find you do have to poke it every now and then to keep out of trouble... Or is it just me.   ::)

I would imagine the 4 hole tank has a solid centre section and valves on the outside hence the greater capacity. Multivalve donuts usally have the valve in the centre.

Could be worth a go... As long as SWMBO doesn't get grumpy this time ::) ::) ::)

I'll chuck the Lappy in if there's space (I'm dropping the In-Law's at Gatwick on the way down!)

Hate to be a party pooper Chris... But is that tank in the right position? Orientation markings should be there somewhere!

How are you planning to secure it in place?

Just interesting thoughts for the future LPG'ers!

Oh, and where's the gas tight fittings?

That looks rather good, actually. :y

Been pondering this on the way back from Brighton today... They have definitely supplied a Vertical Toroidal tank haven't they? :-/ :-/

Something about that tank is ringing alarm bells in the back of my head, other than the lack of a gas tight box, but I can't put my finger on it!

here are some pics for your experienced eyes, forgive the quality of the pic above, i had just that minute got in the door and found mt new kit in the hall way and instantly took the spare out of the boot to see if it would fit, thats all, i did not put it in any psition in paticular, just wanted to check it would go in. Anyway, here are some more clearer pics of the tank, sorry the pic is on its side...

and the front end kit
thanks for interest, and further cooments, are the brackets on the tank correct, i would imagine them to be on the back :-/
ive not seen any paper work so not sure exactly whats been delivered,

that is a doughnut horizontal tank designed to fit in the spare wheel well of an estate car.single hole doughnut tanks work perfectly well in a 3 litre omega.
