Few Q's, sparks, clutch and cats

OK, I still have the 0704 error, Clutch switch malfunction... Its a manual without cruise, so I cant see what or why?! (Any ideas?)

Easy one, Which bank are cyls, 1,3 & 5

And lastly, is there any way of getting the lambda plugs muddled underneath?

Could be Probably am talking codswallop, but there might be a connector just so the ECU knows what's what with the clutch - have a look for any loose wires around the pedal box, maybe?

Ummm, interesting, will have to look into the clutch thing as I had the error before changing the clutch and hoped it would have gone!

The missfire appears to be oil in the plug wells  >:( Any easy fixes?!  :D

Oil in the plugwells is the usual indicator for failing cam cover gaskets.  The oil builds up and breaks down the insulation of the leads and causes misfires.  Once cleaned/repaired/dried out, misfire may well go but may also require lead replacement....

Yep, this is me too.....James came to do the cambelt and service and discovered oil in 2-4-6 (Boo !) and so have just got the cam cover gasket done.....new plugs in and mis-fired slightly since at low revs. Grabbed new leads as old ones were pretty sh1te from sitting in hot oil and will be replacing at weekend.....

Possibly has a clutch switch fitted despite not having cruise....the clutch switch on the drive by wire cars connects directly to the engine ecu....

Ummm...

I cleaned everything out last night which this morning lasted about 10mins! May need to redo the plugs but they looked ok and are less than 2k miles old. Saldly I don't have leads but a coil pack (also cleaned up last night)... Is the cam cover gasket hard to change?

Marks, I will have a look when my knees wont get so wet! Odd thing is it never did it before... cheers  :y

I think the key thing is that its un-related to what you have worked on (the switch is on the pedal!)

Fair enough, cheers Mark  :y (I dont think its affecting much tbh and the engine light would still be on thanks to the cat efficency annoyance!)

As for the miss, I was supposed to be drifting on saturday, may try and whip off/change the rocker cover gasket on that side one evening if I can get the bits, hope the coilpack is ok (although Id have thought it would have thrown an erro code at me if a problem)
