« on: 19 March 2009, 20:10:52 »

Its just come on today so what will an f and a c in the display mean.I have read the owners manual and obviously theres a fault. If its the air temp sensor , where is that located and is it easy to replace. I've always liked vauxhalls but I think somewhere along the way they dont seem as good , had a vectra c sri , nowt but trouble.

thats sounds easy enough to get to. Would the sensor be the cause of the reading on the display?.Probably get one , they arn't that much to buy.

Before you change sensor trace wiring route and check for breaks or chaffing :y

Ok I'll have a look around when I find it. Its a bit strange the reading coming on with no warning, been fine since I got the car. Just remembered , yesterday the reading when I turned on the ignition read about 65 c then came down.

I replaced the sensor today and all is well. For the record the sensor is slap bang in the middle of the grill and to get to it , take the 3 plastic pins out underneath the flat section and within 5 mins its done.
