coolant level low warning but level ok

hi all
as above im getting coolant level low every now and then its not consistant but on inspection the level is fine. just wondered if anyone had any ideas?

Float in the header is sticking. You could try giving the bottle a good cleaning or replace it with a new one for around £30  :y

Sensor in coolant unit maybe broke down or loose wire or connector.
Clean up the connector of the unit maybe it helps.

If that’s not a seized float, you can still fix it. If the message is permanently on your screen, it a magnet that does not stick to a float and you have to cut small pin inside the tank to get the plastic washer, float and a magnet. Stick it together with a high temp glue/silicon, put it back and secure it using a soldering tool. If the message is there only when the engine is warm/cold, it’s a sensor underneath the tank. Cut the lip around it so that you can take it without much force. Then you have to cut the sensor with knife or small saw where the circuit board joins both pins. It’s a hard job but I did it in 20 minutes. Solder it again, cover in black silicon, glue it back to the tank (with silicon) and fixes. BTW – there will be no leakage if you’ll take the sensor out!
