Omega running hot

Hi all my omega has started running hot this afternoon, it was running near 100 on the temp then the fan cut in at 100 then the temp went down but soon as the fan stopped the temp went back up again so i dont know if the water pump has gone or what.Any well would be good.Oh yeh no water has been lost and when i drove back after letting it cool i drove slow and the temp didnt really go really high

Sounds like a faultty sensor.  Or could be a loose pluc/connection.

At first I was going to say an airlock but as I carrid on reading you mentioned the fan kicking in late.  Maybe still worth chacking though.

I think its the waterpump though.
The blades(?) of the pump is loose from the spindle.

It might be the pump but its easyer to check the thermostat first then the pump but surly if its the pump the temp would be runningin the red and not cooling down at all

Does your radiator have 2 cooling fans? If so sometimes the fuse goes on them.

If the blades are loose from the spindle it would be cooling by low rpm if the rpm is going up the spindle goes faster then the blades and could not run the water fast enough to cool as it should be.
But checking the thermostat is probably the first to check :y

Got the car sorted now it was the Thermostat at fault :y
