If you are still not sure go to your caravan dealer and they have data on all cars regarding the towing capabilities, they will advise, you need to be 100% sure you get the right caravan weight or you will be unsafe and you will stuff up your gearbox/Engine etc.

Do this and you will be sure  :y

At the end of the day, an Omega weighs 1700 Kg kerb weight give or take a little and train weight is over 4 tonnes.

So, 85% weight  gives you around 1450. If you need to exceed that you are OK up to around 1700-1800 depending on the model.

As miggy has suggested. When I went looking for a van I didn't know about kerb weight, train wieght etc, so I went to a couple of dealers had a look round to see what they had then checked with the dealer to see if the car was capable enough to tow it. One van that we looked at was a twin axle 6 berth Bailey senator (the top of the range Bailey) and they said yes but with you in it and the van fully loaded you are on your max. So off to another dealer found another van checked to see if it was compatible with the car and it was perfect and still enough for more. We have a Abbey vogue gts 420 2004 model top of the range van.

My Omega estate 1750kg (kerbweight) saloon not far off that weight, and caravan Abbey Vogue 495 1460kg (MTPLM) is a good match.
I wouldn't go much over that weight of caravan with any Omega.
If your talking twin axle, you're into 4 x 4 territory.
