I don't think it is a trick, it just depends on how you view it.

If you look at it straight on and keep moving your head between left and right (like watching tennis) then you can switch the perceived direction of spin which each turn.

If you look at it from the left, she will seem to be spinning clockwise.

If you look at it from the right, she will seem to be spinning anti-clockwise.

But if close your eyes then you can image her doing all sort of things....    ;) ;D
