Right, some people may have lead you down wrong path about it being the pump. Its not.

Your issue is the rubber pipe between pump and 1 way valve softening and blowing?

If yes, thats either a fault in 1 way valve (in which case remove all SAI stuff, and block up the holes in manifold), or blocked exhausts (particularly if its blowing the short (3") rubber pipes).

It is the short 3 inch rubber pipes that keep blowing ,well spotted my friend, it is just the 3 inch ,all the others are fine---JK

I have removed the rear silencer and the results were drivers side exhaust is doing what an exhaust should do, however the passenger side has only a small amount of pressure coming out, i then moved under the car, feeling the exhaust for temp ,after 10 min's the drivers side was well hot as expected but the passenger side was only slightly warm ,even the cat was comfortable to the touch ,the other side by this time was untouchable as it should be, any more help would be appreciated--JK

Hope so, but the centre parts of the exhausts look quite new, i was thinking more in the lines of a blocked cat, if it is, any idea how this can happen, and is there a cleaning proses or is it a new cat---JK,--------- just read on the internet that you cannot clean a cat ,but you can punch a hole through it ,this will obviously clear the blockage ,give more power and will make it sound a bit more throatier, however it is not good for the emissions, anyone ave any thoughts on this matter---JK

Found out what was causing the car to run well at tick over but it would not pull cleanly through the rev range, it also blew the three inch bit of hose on the asi unit, it was all down to a blocked cat , i know this now as when all the pipes were removed and only the down pipes were connected to the manifold, there was still hardly any exhaust gasses coming out of one side ,well i removed that as well , and when it had cooled i tried to blow through it and it was hard, so as it was knackered anyway ,i took my 9 inch grinder and opened it up for a look ,i found about 12 pieces of cat about marble size, and the rest looked like grey damp clay,i took all of the cat stuff out ,and re welded the exhaust , put it back on and it now runs great, pulls like a train ,but the down side is it sounds like a boy racers car ,i can't have that ,but at least it is movable, so problem solved, the culprit was a blocked cat, thanks for all the help on this one, off to look for a new down pipe now many thanks ---JK   :):y
