so how come some 2.2s work and some dont? Are ecu's all the same on that engine?

If it doesn't fix the MEMS it'll put a fault on Tunnie's 2.2.  ;D

Actually, MEMS was used on some of the K series Caterhams, although most people have ditched them. I will make some enquiries...

.. and regarding the pedal test not working with the DBW throttle not connected, I wonder if the DBW throttle control system needs to be intact before it will trigger the diagnostic mode? I.E. perhaps it works on throttle position not pedal position?

Throttle not connected -> No throttle position input to ECU -> No diagnostics. Seems silly but perhaps that's how it works?
