touch wood, i have never been stopped *yet* have had them trail behind me the other day. i was driving merily along at the speed limit, maybe a couple of miles over it, and a cop car come the other way. he stopped in middle of road and done a u turn, then followed me for about 2 miles, i could tell they were checking me out as i could see them getting closer to read the plate, soooo i decided that i would speed up as the speed limit increases to 60, i kept to 60 the whole way. i was hoping that they would pull me over so that i could shove all the documents in there face, as i had them all in the car. but they didnt, i turned off and they just carried on in the end. was quite funny realy.

actually saying that we werepulled over while in teh ambulance response car, but that was because the police wanted a favour, they flashed us up with headlights and blues the lot :P

then we both were racing through town on blue lights at about 1 in the morning, great fun, especially when the copper nearly spun it on a roundabout. rear end just started to swing round, he pretty much slowed down to 10 mph
whoops.

cheers

I have a passionate hatred for the police! They are a waste of space (well they done one thing right, the MV6  ;D) who are only interested in statistics! I could right a book with the piss take confrontations i have with the police!

If ive done something wrong, such as when i got caught speeding i held my hands up and was as nice as possible, even joking about them not being able to catch me if i didn’t stop. However there have been several (read loads!) of times when if they didn’t have a badge on they would of had the face into the concrete! Just because they have a stupid little badge on their top doesn’t mean they can talk to me like an idiot when its them who knows jack shit about the law! Baring in mind i have several family members in the police and was intending to be an officer until i started having personal dealing with them.

In my experience, you kinda get the police you deserve.  Who was it that said, "some people think the idea of policing is great - until they're the one getting policed" ?

Policing isn't customer service like you get at Tesco.  People tend to be either totally fine when being stopped, or create a silly fuss.  There's no excuse for the police to be rude when the person stopped is totally fine.  But if you get abrasive or worse, don't expect the police to smile as if they're serving a grumpy customer in a shop.

only ever pulled once, by a beat car, got a producer, doing 50 in a 30

if i must get pulled over again at any time, it shall be routine, since i drive properly and legally, and it must also be on my day off when i have nothing to do, so i can waste their time a bit, just for my own satisfaction

there are a couple of cops in my area that really like to just waste people's time

i'd quite happily confirm my name and that my car is mine, but if they want to know where i'm goin and where i've been, its nobody's business but mine, my car's taxed, insured, mot'd and filled with the most expensive bleeding petrol known to man, while i'm driving legally i'll drive wherever the hell I like

Got stopped once for exceeding the speed limit. A good vehicle check, make sure I wasn't drunk or stoned, and on my way. Held my hands up, no point denying it. Of course, had I let the car behind me go before me out of the car park, I'd have noticed the subtle clues that it was a police car - blue lightbar, "POLICE" written down the side, the reflective stripes, and the police officers sitting inside... it was dark, in my defence.

I'm fully expecting a tug or three over the next month, with the extra DD patrols, and my finishing work at 4am... being 20 and in a V6 isn't going to help...

Only been pulled three times, once for speeding on the A13, got off with a warning, once on the M6 Cumbria, speeding got 3 points, once at a road block/check in London, the morning after, they could'nt get a breathaliser so they let me on my way.

On the other hand I have had more fines in London for bus lanes, parking, congestion charging and last but not least a box junction >:(

Ive been pulled 5 times in 26 years of driving........

1st time pulled for breath test......passed on roadside.....even tho id had a couple of pints  ::)
2nd time pulled for overtaking on double white lines.......my arguement on that one was overtaking a tractor and pulled out before double white lines began......came back in just after double white started....got fined for that  :(
3rd time .....breath tested again.....failed roadside  :-[ ......got arrested...but passed at police station  ;)
4th time....got pulled for speeding......doing 90 in a 70 limit.....got let off the speeding but got a ticket/fine for not wearing a seatbelt  ;D
5th time.....stopped for no insurance showing on police computer.......got given a producer.....i was insured and produced insurance/mot/licence.....this one pi$$ed me off  >:(
