Facelift keys
« on: 29 July 2009, 18:11:02 »

Has anyone any idea how to tell the difference between the different types of 3 button omega keys.
I only had one for mine so bought one of e-bay it was won for £3.10 plus 90p P&P so was,nt to bad. Took it up to local vauxhall dealer they only charge £10 + vat to reprogamme it. They said it,s not the same as mine and they cant do anything. It looks identical to mine when put side by side i,ve opened it up and there is no numbers of any kind to tell me what is what. Another one is for sale on e-bay have mailed the seller hes told me he bought it for his facelife omega but never used it so unsure if it will work on mine. He has told me the p/n and frequency and its a delphi but i have no idea what mine is.

Any help muchly appreciated  :)

Hi, this is the info I gleaned from various sources, it applies to my Omega, which is a facelift:-

3 Button remote:-
Vx Part Number: 9146043
Identifiying marks
Rear of case
Manufacturer: Kiekert AG
Additional: TX Type5470 433Mhz
Internal PCB markings
Kiekert written in the PCB foil
Battery for remote CR 2032

You could ask Martin Imber, he knows what he is talking about.

varies whether it was for an Alarm equipped car, or just a central locking equipped car.

I have some pictures of each type, including internal PCB shots. I'll try and remember to post them later.
