MV6 engine change
« on: 12 August 2009, 17:05:03 »

I now have the engine for the MV6, all I need is time, and I can swap it over

Just to recap - the "new" engine, although v low miles, is from an older Omega

I think for now, I'm going to keep it all original and use the auto box. The new engine is from a manual.

So just to confirm, the process will be

- remove knackered engine.

- fit ancils such as DIS pack, all sensors, loom, from old engine to new

remove flywheel and clutch and fit flex plate to new engine

Mate up engine and autobox out of the car

Lift in the new unit

I'm pretty sure I will be fine, but any pointers from anyone who's done an Omega engine change before would be much welcome

Near enough....you can leave the thrust bearing in the end of the crank
