try 20-30 presses of the hazzard switch for starters, this has been known to cause problems  :y

I found a problem with my diesel elite when I bought it...

Randomly, the passenger side indicators would stay on. Sometimes I could get them to go out by repeatedly locking / unlocking the car with the fob. Turned out to be a broken relay for the alarm.

If I remember correctly, the relay was located behind the glove box (dead easy to remove!). Try removing the relay and see if it rattles! As one of the contacts had snapped off and was shorting out the indicators inside on mine  :y

LMF are utter rubbish - dont buy steering idlers from them! You've been warned![/size]

You dont say whether they stayed "on" or were flashing continually.

My money is on the relay under behind the glove box. There are a number of them which you can only really get to by removing the glove box as they are tucked away up in the left hand corner.

The one in question is small and grey. You may find that there are two rows of relays, needless to say its in the upper row - and the easy way to get to it is remove the bottom row - the whole thing will unclip without removing any of the relays from the bottom row.

Over a period of years the relays become very tight - so a bit of persuasion will be required - but be careful about using anything metal to prise them out for obvious reasons!

If removing the relay cures the problem you could actually leave it out, as its only function is to flash the indicators when the car is locked/unlocked (with the remote) and when the alarm goes off.

Likewise, with mine I just pulled out the broken contact, and then put it all back together!
Only minor problem now is the passenger side indicators don’t flash when you lock it / alarm goes off - but the drivers side still works fine so doesn't really matter! :y

You need a new relay. It has two sets of contacts, one set for the L, the other for the R indicators. Obviously only one bit inside has broken!

Mine had an empty relay socket so no flashing at all!
