Can't identify Leak.
« on: 25 October 2009, 12:51:40 »

Hi guys was changing the oil this morning and noticed a small leak under the car :'( seems to be worse when car is running. It looks as if its coming from inbetween the wo sump pans of the autobox. It looks as though there are two pipes running above them and leak seems to be from that area!

Liquid appears to be clear anybody got any ideas :question

If it's clear it's either rainwater or coolant. Check your coolant level and have a feel around the HBV for wet pipes ;) :y

As Chris says, most likely the aicon condensate drain.  Switch off the aircn and take the car for a drive for a couple of miles to ensure the engine block has dried off and recheck for the 'leak'.  Switch on the aircon again and, if guesses are correct, the 'leak' will reappear....   :y

Thanks guys i think it may well be the aircon drain as it looks like a small drain is just above the two pipes will check it again when its not as wet as today. All fluid levels appear to be ok so hopefully its just a drain.

Thanks again. :y
