Smoky exhaust on pull away
« on: 09 November 2009, 18:32:31 »

Only noticed int he last day or so but the exhaust is pretty smoky on pulling away from standstill. Once it's above 25 miles an hour it becomes fine, but it's a bit of a worry.

Any ideas?

More than likely its condensate, given the lower outside air temperatures.  Once the cat(s) is at temp then it does reduce, although water is a by product of good combustion, as I recall....  :y

Yup as H21 says.  Omegas do produce a lot of moisture, particularly when cold

Thanks for the advice.

Was a bit worried about getting pulled by the cops that's all, it does look a bit like a steam train on first starting!

Noticed mine was a bit smokey last winter when i had mine, and come the summer i had nothing, but now the cold weather is back again this year its the same again,so obviously is condonsdate,as it does not use a drop of oil or anything.
