Heat problem - check the vacuum hose is still on the HBV (black starship enterprise looking thing behind the drivers side head. Vacuum pipe comes up off the top).

Remote fob - which type is it? Seperate remote or in the key? Could be the battery holder loose or the microswitches. Speak to MartinImber on here, he reconditions the remotes :y

As for the alarm going off, rech round from the drivers side rear door and push the button down on the drivers door. this locks the car without arming the alarm BUT MAKE SURE YOU HAVE YOUR KEYS IN YOUR HAND! ;)

Try backflushing it, take both hoses off and run a hose pipe through each pipe in turn until the water runs clear. Re-attach the pipes and refil the system with fresh anti-freeze :y

Both heater hoses are hot which suggests that you have water flow through the matrix so the problem lies with the air blending flaps or their controls.
Try resetting the climate panel, ignition on, press and hold 'auto' and 'off' until you hear the servo motors start whirring. Wait till it finishes then see if there is any improvement.
When you turn off the ignition are there any 'dashes' on the climate temp displays?
